Construction of bridge at Laljhadi

Kanchanpur. Construction of a 350 metres long concrete bridge over the Doda river has started at Balmi of Laljhadi rural municipality-3 in Kanchanpur district. The estimated cost of the bridge is Rs 36 million.
The ‘piling’ works have been started in connection with the bridge construction. The bridge is set to be completed in three years.
The locals had been facing difficulties crossing the river during rainy season in absence of bridge at the place. The construction of the bridge will greatly ease travel in this area, according to Rural Municipality chief Madansen Badayak.
More than 1,000 families live in this area.
