Kathmandu. The government has launched the ‘technical education national awareness campaign’ under the students enrollment programme.
The campaign is launched under the slogan of ‘technical education: present need’ to provide practical education across the country. In this regard, morning rallies were organized in various parts of the country today.
During the rally, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, said the education should be based on skills to boost production.
According to him, technical and practical education was essential to equalize Nepal’s education to global education. It is also necessary to realize the goal of ‘prosperous Nepal and happy Nepali’. Investment in technical education would be increased, the Minister underscored.
For making effective the technical education, the CTEVT would be reformed, he said, adding, “Dr Govind KC does not need to stage hunger strike time and again for the reform in the medical education. All problems can be solved through dialogue.”
Secretary at Education Ministry, Khagaraj Baral, however said although the awareness of technical education is increased, there were still the flaws on production of such human resources. RSS
